Campus and Local - The Quad

Ben Richards won the sophomore TCU Senate special election, according to multiple sources, including a Facebook post by a member of the Elections Commission.

Now the fun begins -- for Richards, who ran against Matt Wittman, published an op-ed in Tuesday's Daily advertising his candidacy.

And per my copy of ECOM's General Rules, candidates are not permitted to place Daily op-eds.  (The rules specify the types of advertising which candidates can engage in; any advertising not mentioned is prohibited.)  The general rules also note that ECOM has the ability to disqualify candidates who break such rules.

We'll see what happens.  In the meantime, I need some sleep.
