About Us

Founded by three freshmen in early 2008, the Tufts Roundtable was intended to be a new media experiment that brought together the diverse thoughts and opinions found at Tufts, into a true marketplace of ideas.  Our intention is to use all media forms available.

Today, the Tufts Roundtable is responsible for the publication of the Tufts Roundtable Journal of Political Discourse, a non-partisan magazine, and TRCommons.org, a community of independent bloggers and writers.

We believe our approach to political discourse is unique and its nonpartisan nature is something in which the Tufts community and the community beyond campus have shown interest.

Anyone at any time is welcome to submit an article, including students, faculty and community members. We also offer the potential to receive your own blog on the TRCommons.org to keep the conversation going. We encourage writers to write direct responses to something they have read in a previous issue of the magazine.

We believe a place for this kind of thoughtful debate has been lacking and we hope to provide an outlet for discussion of the major issues we confront.
